Tokyo Friends Park 2000

Hitomi without blonde hair. Kaori with pigtails. Going back in time a bit.

Yuko Nakazawa.

The first event is Wall Crash.

The girls jump off a platform and land on a small trampoline-like thing and then bounce up and try to fasten themselves to the highest place on the wall that they can. For those who see the one TV extreme series (a dubbed Japanese show), there's a rougher version of this same event.

Hitomi gets ready to jump.

As one would expect, she does good.

Yaguchi gets ready to jump.

The next event is something called Chu Chu Busters.

It's like the game whack-a-mole, but the things are in 3-D so the girls have to keep watch all over for where the creatures will appear.

The next game is going to be a variation on air hockey. Two of the girls take on one of the guys.

The Big Challenge is next after the girls win at air hockey. They've cleared two of three challenges so far, missing out only on the wall crash one.

They are going to throw darts at a spinning wheel to see if they get any prizes. Goto Maki wins them a trip to Japan's Disneyland.

27-year-old Nakazawa Yuko is next to throw a dart. She wins them a food prize.

Hitomi with a different hair-style. Wall Crash will be the first event again, but this time they have to score higher to clear the level. Each game they clear they get a chance for another prize.

Nozomi Tsuji keeps climbing after she hits the wall. She scores higher than anyone else has yet scored.

The next event is something called Flash Saurus.

It's a bit complicated. One girl has to use an air pump to push a marker up a column. If she gets it to the top the dinosaur-like thing glows and an starts to light up blocks under it. The girl standing to the side then has to jump down at just the right time to land on the landing block just as it is lit. The first three tries are failures as the pumper works ok, but the girl misjudges the jump and lands at the wrong time.

Yaguchi times it right on her third try. Still, overall the girls fail to pass this part of the test.

The next test involves two girls on a motorcycle, one driving and one riding holding pizzas. The driver looks at the screen ahead in order to steer. Every time they have an accident on the screen the bike moves and the pizzas fall. They have to get off the bike and pick them up then get on and start again, trying to do this within a set time limit.

Yoshizawa will be the third driver. She has too many accidents, though, and they don't make the goal in time.

The next thing is Arcade 6. The first part, Blowgun Fighter, has them taking a blowgun and blowing up moving balloons.

Floating Fighter requires them to throw a ball and knock the ball floating on a column of air off that column.

Flower Ball is basically a form of skeeball.

Pizza Catcher is another task where they have to throw a pizza through one of the holds in the set.

Super Dunk 1 on 1 is a basketball game, but the hoop is on a rotating platform, making it much harder.

Flying Burger is the sixth game, where they have to hit the platform and try to propel the burger through the air and land it in one of the rotating boxes.

Kago Ai does the blowgun task. She doesn't complete the task.

Nozomi fails at the Pizza Catcher task.

Yoshizawa then takes her turn at the Blowgun Fighter but fails at it.

Floating Fighter is the next game they choose to try. This, also, turns out to be a failed attempt.

They will next attempt Flower Ball. This brings the team their first success.

Yoshizawa will try her hand at Flying Burger. She succeeds giving them two successes in a row.

The basketball challenge is up next, but no success on this one.

Some type of quiz is up next.

They clear this section with Goto Maki answering the last question, something to do with Miyazaki.

Hyper Hockey, which is really Air Hockey.

They win 9 -7.

They will be throwing the darts for a variety of prizes. They win a few regular prizes and a few consolation-type prizes.
