Was It The Future

This is an all-English CD released in 1996 by A&M records. Possibly in an effort to help sales in the U.S., the name Matusda does not appear on the album. The album was also produced by a U.S. pop singer, Robbie Nevil. Unfortunately the album did not do well in the U.S. market, a fate which seems to meet most Japanese singers' albums in the U.S.

1. Let's Talk About It: Really nice, melodic, flowing and gently light jazz type of song.

2. Your Precious Love: Her duet with Robbie Nevil. good

3. Good For You: Again a nice gentle, flowing type of song.

4. Missing the Beat: Very, very good song. Better example of the ability of her voice, good harmony

5. Was It The Future: another really good song with a stronger beat to it. Really good song.

6. Show Me How It Feels: another gentle, soft type of song. Ok but not outstanding.

7. I Can't Believe My Eyes: Really good song, one of the best on this CD.

8. First Time: Very, very soft, romantic-type of song..

9. It's Too Late: Somewhat faster paced song, also good.

10. A Little More Time: Another good song.

11. Let's Talk About It (Hip Hop Mix)

The album is basically a rhythm-and-blues type of album. At times she reminds me of a subdued Madonna; sometimes she's almost like Shakespear's Sister. A relatively good range of songs. It doesn't seem to showcase her singing ability as well as Eternal, though; it's almost too laid-back of a CD.
