This is one of the few Morning Musume songs that I don't care for very much and the video makes it way worse than it actually is. Some of the photographic techniques used in the video are quite annoying and some of the dancing scenes look less like dancing and more like a bunch of young girls in extreme pain thrashing around.
Shabondama (Utaban)
The dancing is some of the strangest, and worst, I've ever seen Morning Musume do. In major parts it's like they told the girls to just stand there and act like they're having some kind of seizure or something. Neither the song nor the video works here. Even the outfits they have on appear sort of grungy. This is one of the rare occasions where Ishikawa doesn't look perfectly made up.
