Maude Adams

The character of Elise McKenna in the movie Somewhere in Time was actually based on a real actress whose name was Maude Adams. Here early career was largely comedy and light plays but she later branched out into more "serious" acting roles.

Information on the earliest part of her career, especially in relation to some of the plays she was in, is very hard to find.
