The Art of Destruction

This is a Doctor Who and Rose book. They return to the Earth not too very far in the future. They land near a volcano, and it turns out a scientist is trying to develop a new food source to help feed starving people. The problem is that, at the moment, it's rather poisonous.

Another problem crops up in the tunnels within the volcano which house some kind of golden blog that can take over a person's body and then animate it. Then's there's the alien treasure hunter, lost and hidden treasure, two races that have been at war for eons, multitudes of changed insects and animals, and the Doctor and Rose right in the middle of it all.

It's a really good addition to the series.
