Succubus Dreams

Georgina has sex with a guy and takes some energy from him and part of his soul, but the energy she takes drains off way faster from her than it should. Jerome, the arch-demon, tells Georgina that there's going to be a staff meeting. She meets Niphon, the Imp who had bought her soul.

She's going to have to train a new succubus. She also ends up allowing an angel new to the town (and a friend of Carter, the angel) to stay with her for a while. The new succubus is reluctant to approach men to get them to have sex with her. She can't dance to a beat, she doesn't know how to strip sensually, and she's unable to carry an intelligent conversation.

Georgina manages to get Tawny, the inept new succubus, a job in a strip club. Meanwhile, Georgina finds out that she is inhabited by something which is responsible for her energy drain. A friend of hers is attacked by something, and it all seems to relate together. It's possible a being named Nyx is behind everything. (Nyx, by the way, is the good goddess in the House of Night series, but in this case she's an agent of chaos.)

The grouping of angels in the town that Georgina has noticed are there to try and catch Nyx, who they had been guarding.

There's a lot in the book about Georgja's past. An attempt to capture Nyx results in one angel being killed by another, and the one doing the killing being punished by being changed into a demon. Things get worse for Georgina as she finds out the meaning of “all hope abandon, ye who enter here.”

A good third book in the series.
