Embrace the Night
This is the second book about Cassandra Palmer, the woman who has become the Pythia. As in the first book, various people try to kill her. As in the first book, she is still struggling to learn how to use her powers, getting a little bit better about shifting in time than before. As in the first book, she's still trying to get rid of the geis that has been placed on her and Mircea. Which is basically the problem with this book. It's way too much a simple continuation of the first book and thus becomes a “here-we-go-again” type of novel, putting it on the edge of being boring. |
