Firestorm

Things don't get any easier for Joanne in this fifth book in the series. There is now a full-scale war going on between the wardens and the djinn; the djinn themselves are split into two camps; Joanne's sister is still under the thrall of an evil man who wants his own djinn; wardens are dying in droves and, if that wasn't enough, it could be the end of the world.

This is probably the harshest and grittiest of the series so far. People die; lots of them, including one very close to Joanne. Joanne has to talk to three Oracles, powers directly tied in to the Earth, and that isn't going to be easy, what with some djinn wanting to stop her, a full-blown demon after her, and demon marks infesting Oracles.

This entire series so far has been the kind of writing that is so good you just don't want to put the book down.
