An Ice Cold Grave

Once again Harper is called into a town to try to locate some bodies of boys who are thought to have been murdered. She was looking for six, but finds eight bodies all in one general area. Once again the police give her somewhat of a hard time, delaying her leaving. Once again the delay proves nearly fatal as someone attacks her and she ends up hurt fairly badly.

Once again the rest of the book deals with her finding the person or persons behind the murders and the attack on her, although she ends up getting attacked yet again.

As can be seen, the series has become formulaic. The names and details might change, but the basic outline of the book is the same as the first two. Granted, there is something new in this one, and that is the resolution of Harper's relationship with Tolliver but, overall, it's a repeat of the other books but with more bodies and more violence.

Very disappointing.
