This graphic novel is based on the Jim Butcher books and not on the television series. In this case Murphy is a blonde; Bob seems pretty much limited to talking from his skull, and Dresden has a staff rather than a hockey stick as a weapon. Bianca shape-shifts to the form of a huge bat, and Morgan seems to violently hate Dresden, even worse than in the television series.
Dresden and Murphy are examining the death of a man and a woman, and determines that someone is using dark magic. There's fairly typical slavering beast involved, and a female news reporter that seems to hound Dresden rather a bit.
There's also an additional story in the book.
The story itself is pretty good, although it seems to leave the person behind all the bad events unidentified. I'm not personally fond of some of the artwork, though.
