Thin Air

This is the sixth book in the Weather Warden series. Joanne has lost all of her memories; she has no idea about who she is, what her past is, or who the people around her are.

Which is bad enough, but it gets even more complicated when a demon poses as Joanne and convinces others that she's the real one. She also has her own, very dark, agenda.

The book revolves around Joanne trying to get her memories back, and to do that she looks into other people's minds, giving us some more background on various things that had happened in the first five books. In some ways it's like watching a television show of a series that is doing an episode consisting of clips from its other episodes, tying those together with some, usually thin, twine.

There's also the problem of the djinn splitting into factions, and it's Joanne's task to get them together along with the wardens and the Ma'at in order to solve a literal world-wide problem.

Another very good book in the series, although I don't think it's quite as good as the first five. Maybe a 4.5 out of 5 instead of a 5 out of 5 for the other books.
