Encounters with the Sasquatches

One of the first things the article notes is someone peeking from behind a tree. I have seen this behavior in a lot of the Bigfoot sighting reports. It may indicate that the creature is attempting to determine if the unusual object in its view poses any kind of danger.

These creatures, in various forms, are seen world-wide which brings up the question of whether or not they are descended from one earlier species that split into various sub-species.

The article says most sightings are accidental and the Sasquatch seem to try to avoid interaction with people and this behavior matches the vast majority of behavior seen in reports of sightings.

The article says it's an omnivore and a scavenger and again this matches virtually all the reports I've seen. They eat plants and kill animals such as deer and consume them. This is another human-type behavior that they exhibit.

I tend to think the yowling and howling heard from the creatures and the hitting of trees with thick branches are all attempts to scare off intruders.

Again, from reports, it does seem that deer are a major food source for the creatures. Considering their size, sometimes eight feet or more, it's probable that they do need a lot of food. It's also interesting that in many reports of people in the woods they go through any bags the person has, obviously searching for food.
