Fear in the Forest, volume 11
This volume opens with a couple cryptids that I can't identify. One has spines on its shoulders, is eight foot tall and has black lips. The other is a looks like a man in trenhcoat with a beak-like nose and a fedora hat.
Next up is the Jersey Devil cryptid. It flips a camper over and is shot twice but to no effect. Then there's a group of Bigfoot sightings. There is the typical rocks thrown at people, knocking on trees and a whooping sound. There's also an example of what I would say is a neutral meeting where the Bigfoot and the observer just look at each other and then go their own way.
Which reminds me of when I was in college. I was walking through brush bordering some woods and came across a groundhog. He was quite large and was standing up on his hind legs. We just sort of looked at each other and I turned off to find another way back to the dorm.
There's a giant black dog and more Bigfoot sightings.
It seems there a common procedure on many Bigfoot sightings and that is to express its territoriality it knocks on trees (which might be to inform other Bigfoot that a trespasser is in their area), throws rocks, screams, whoops and if the person is in a trailer or a cabin it will hit the edge of either, basically to let the person inside know that the Bigfoot doesn't appreciate the person being there.
There's also a story involving pale crawlers who have long limbs, are emaciated and have long sharp nails.
A lot of Bigfoot sightings in this edition.
