Fear in the Forest, volume 5

The first story involves a Bigfoot with the terrible smell. My own guess is that the smell involves the long hair of the Bigfoot which probably will have bits of feces in it and perhaps bits of things it's killed and eaten. Bigfoot is a wild animal no matter how much it may resemble vaguely a human being. It has some intelligence without any doubt but it's not at the level of average human intelligence, apparently

They can be nasty and vicious but can also be somewhat playful and helpful. They are extremely territorial and do have means of communication with each other.

The second story is about a UFO but its traits are not typical for UFOs. The author says that it has a 'roar of a propulsion system' which is extremely uncommon for UFO sightings. Another has the sound of 'a thousand trumpets and one looks like a 'green jellyfish.' There was also a warning to the observer that something terrible was coming. Again, very, very strange for a UFO sighting.

The next story involves a Mothman in Alaska and a Bigfoot.

Then there's fascinating part called Intellectual Cryptids. There's a human sitting on a boulder that gets pelted with small rocks thrown by a Bigfoot. (Another sign of its territoriality.) Two Bigfoot creatures bang his garbage cans together while looking right at him. The author set up cameras to capture them but the cameras malfunction which is something that happens a lot on Skinwalker Ranch where scientific instruments will sometimes fail when performing an observational experiment.

Then there's a story about a giant cat, one about a Dogman which captures a person and seems to be dragging him to a group of Dogman beings and then a story about a Wendigo.

That one is really, really neat. The woman involved had been chased by a stalker and the Wendigo chases the stalker away. He never returns.

Then there's a story about some cryptid that can replicate human voices, even ones that it never had any chance of hearing but can seem to duplicate the voice from a person's memories.

There's a story about the Jersey Devil (which also smells bad), a story about a werewolf and then a story about a Bigfoot that seems to rip trees from the ground. It's not the only story of that nature I've read but I have no idea why they would rip trees out of the ground and leave them lying around.

A good variety of stories and a sign that cryptids can sometimes actually help people.
