Cryptids of Oregon: The Fascinating World of Unknown Creatures

The author notes that there are no set standards in cryptozoology so it doesn't fit into 'accepted' science. We get information from sighting reports, historical accounts and I would add mythology.

Cryptids covered in the book include the amhuluk (nasty tendency to drown people), Ball-tailed Cat, the Devil's Lake Monster, the argopelter (pulls the hands off its victims), the hidebehind (hates the smell of alcohol), theWallow Lake Monster, the gumberoo, the Seal Lake Sea Monster, the Spliner Cat and the Colossal Claude.

The author has information on each one of the cryptids.

There is one problem with the book, though, and that is the tendency of the author to repeat parts of sentences which can get annoying after a while. The good part is that it covers cryptids genearally not covered elsewhere.
