Ghosts and Angels in Hollywood Films

This is an interesting book in that it examines specific examples of angels and ghosts being used in films. The author notes that ghosts can be found in literature from ancient times. The first ghost to appear in literature date back to ancient Roman times.

The author goes into how technology has changed the appearance of ghost and angels in films. He notes that these beings can appear to be nasty, comical and horrible in appearance. He also notes that a lot of the films with ghosts and angels are really bad films.

Then he goes into specific films. One of them he mentions is Beetlejuice (which I really liked). He talks about films done during and just before WWII along with other films.
