It's Fast or It's Free

This is a pretty good episode but I think it would have made a lot more sense to have both parts on the same tape rather than split between two tapes.

The second episode is "Clash of the Delivery Girls! The Martial Arts Takeout Race." It turns out Genma had promised Ranma to a man long ago for some food and now the man has arrived at the Tendo dojo to claim his new "son". The only way for Ranma to maintain his freedom is for Akane to defeat the man's daughter in a wild free-for-all of a contest in which the girls carry bowls of ramen without spilling it. Not so easy when you consider that the style of the contest resembles a cross between big-time-wrestling and the dirtiest stock-car driving you've ever seen.

It's a no-holds-barred-anything-goes battle for Ranma's future.

In my opinion this was a pretty funny episode. The entire concept of a martial-arts food delivery contest (used once or twice more in the Ranma 1/2 series, by the way) is funny in itself. Seeing Genma dressed up as a woman is worth the tape's cost alone!
