Information Video on Hanging Rock (You Tube)

The narrator says that there is a legend about the rock having huge gravitational force, pulling things towards it, even things going uphill. It would be extremely interesting to know if the rock actually does behave that way, or if it is a legend without basis in fact.

It's a volcanic fissure formed six million years ago.

The narrator talks to a ranger caretaker of the rock, and then talks about the schoolgirls going on a picnic.
