Chain of Death

This is an interesting story in which criminals form cells, basically, where no one knows all the members in the cell; they only know one or two at most. Messages are passed along in code. If a member wants help on a crime, he can pass messages along and members who are interested can join him.

Harry Vincent is attacked but is saved by the Shadow. There's a fight on board a ship, with the Shadow and some criminals going overboard. The Shadow survives and puts more pressure on the group. There's a major shoot-out scene between all the members of the Chain of Death being on one side, and the police and the Shadow on the other. Lots of action and a fascinating story.
