The Shadow handles the crooks with the truck and he escapes in his cab. Later he returns to the mansion where Margo is going to have to stay the entire night.
Margo has her own suspicions about a couple of the people at the mansion. When the Shadow tries to take his cab to help her, two other cars try to cut him off, but he eludes them.
Some crooks grab Margo, but the Shadow gets rid of them. The Shadow explains things to the old man of the house, but he doesn't believe the Shadow totally. Two of the servants are really crooks, and there's still quite a crew of them in the house.
