Crime Classics #6

(I don't really care very much for the cover of this issue at all.)

The woman swims to the shore to warn the marines while the Shadow shoots a shark and then fights some more of the Dagger's men. She warns them in time. Some more of the Dagger's men plant the bomb, thinking the marines are still there, but the Shadow steals their boat and they get blown up.

More of the Dagger's men attack, but they are met by the marines who drive them into the sea. The Shadow boards the yacht and ends up shooting the Dagger just before Marines board the boat.

A new story starts, “The Shadow vs. the Bund.” For those who aren't familiar with history, the Bund was an American pro-Nazi group that was fairly noticeable before the start of World War II.

Lamont and Margo are eating at a restaurant. Lamont goes outside and changes to the Shadow guise and Margo goes where she's not supposed to and gets in trouble (again), and the Shadow has to rescue her (again.) One of the evil men is a Bund leader who was deported two years previously.

They get in a car chase with the Bund leader and his men. The car seems to disappear, but they find a crooked bridge-keeper and the car. The Nazi sympathizers have gotten into a boat under the bridge-keepers structure.

Later Margo intercepts a phone call and finds yet another Nazi agent. She changes clothes with the woman and goes to meet yet another Nazi contact.

The Shadow and Margo get into another chase, this time with the Shadow jumping onto a train, rousting out the Nazi agents, then being involved in a train crash.

The agents trail Lamont to his laboratory and surround it, and one of them realizes that Lamont and the Shadow are one and the same (basically every story has at least one more person uncovering the Shadow's identity.)
