The Shadow #7

Margo and Lamont go to a Broadway show, but some guy that looks like Quasimodo appears and kidnaps the lead actress. Some thugs drive up and shoot the guy, then they make the mistake of getting into a shooting match with the Shadow.

The guy is named Pile and works for a mob boss named Lyce. The actress had been Lyce's girlfriend for a while. The Shadow confronts Lyce and then leaves, and Lyce still plans to kill the actress. Pyle kidnaps the actress after hitting the Shadow really hard. Lyce finds out where he is going with the actress and he gets his mob together to kill them both.

Lyce kills a couple of Lyce's men and then the Shadow appears and takes care of the rest. Pile, though, is killed by the actress who thought he was Lyce.
