Shadow vol. 5 #7

1945, Street & Smith Publications.

The Shadow Visits the Crime Museum: There's a bunch of crooks in this story. Some rob a jewelry store and their ill gotten goods are taken by a criminal called the Talon. There's a woman called the Hag who is also a crook. Margo is tricked into becoming a prop to trap the Shadow at a wax museum. Some of the crooks get caught but not all of them.

The Strange Case of Hirohito's Devil Men: Two of the Japanese are involved in a murder and are making models of the bridges in the city, possibly for use in a sabotage attack later. The story shows the Japanese (Japs in the story) in the usual ultra-negative light of the time.

Inner Circle - The Stain that Spoke (text): Nick Carter talks about some work one of the men had been doing for the war effort.

In Your Hat: A factual examination of the possibility of an incredible invention known as the walkie-talkies.

Nick Carter and the Building Block Bungle: A guy is murdered but leaves a clue behind in building blocks with letters on them.

Doc Savage-The Impossible Escape-A crime syndicate decides that they want to kill Doc Savage before starting their wave of crime. Monk is captured and is to be used as bait to trap Doc Savage. Things don't work the way the crooks planned.

Flatty Foote: A stupid cartoon series.
