The Shadow: City of Crime

A rather interesting, almost Spiderman-type cover. The story concerns a city that is run almost entirely by criminals posing as legitimate people. It also involves an illegal nightclub called the ClubAdair where crooks end up trying to ambush the police. A person running for D.A. is murdered since he would have been a good D.A.

Harry, Marsland, Burke, Burbank, Hawkeye and Jericho are all featured in the story. Estelle is a woman that helps the Shadow who ends up injured.

Despite all the crooks that seem to run things, the Shadow manages, as usual, to dispense deserved justice to them all.
