Spoils of the Shadow

This is an interesting story. Some very rich men have one really major piece of art or something else in their collection, and that they have taken steps to try to make sure it is stored safely in their homes. In the meanwhile, the Shadow receives a message from a guy who is basically challenging the Shadow to stop him from committing a series of crimes.

Not the brightest bulb on the planet.

Anyhow, the guy realizes that Lamont is actually the Shadow, but that doesn't stop him from pulling off his robberies. Alas for him, the Shadow has already done something which throws a major crimp into the guy's plan to be a major criminal. In the end the Shadow triumphs.
