London Crime

There were a very few Shadow stores that found him in foreign countries for the entire stories. London Crimes is one of these. The Shadow works with Harry Vincent to solve a case that involves a Rajah, valuable gems, a Scotland Yard detective and a company that lies at the base of all the financial dealings.

The story opens with The Shadow showing how good he is using disguises. There's lots of thugs and lots of shooting. The plans of the villain are rather complicated.

One problem I had with the book is the use of the words The Shadow to describe Lamont Cranston when he is appearing as Lamont Cranston, not as The Shadow. It's the only book of those that I have read so far in the series that does this and it's sort of confusing and bothersome at the same time.

The story, aside from the above problem, is a good one.
