The Horror in the Night, April 25,1954

This is a synopsis of a script.

Will Markham is a middle-aged male. Mrs. McGow is a fifty-year-old widow. Denmoor Arms is an old hotel of a kid. The episode opens with Mrs. McGow talking to two guys, Mr. Greer and Mr. Wentzer. The unusual thing about this is that both men are dead.

Markham has called Lamont and asked for help, and Margo and Lamont go to the Denmoor Arms. 15 years ago, McGow had killed three people and was supposedly killed after jumping off the room of the hotel. Lamont finds a dead guy in a bed at the dark inn. McGow talks to them, and says she knows about the dead guy in the bed.

Then Lamont finds a dead guy hanging in another room. McGow claims to have been murdered, and they see a knife stickout out of her body.

Lamont and Margo find Will in a coffin. He says that an old woman hit him and put him in it. Margo and Will search the attic, and she finds a hidden box. Will pulls a gun on her and demands the box, which is a treasure chest.

McGow is alive and insane. She and Will fight over the chest, then the Shadow's voice is heard.

It turns out that the chest is filled with lead weights. Margo had found a ship's diary at the bottom of the chest, though, and it has the location of a real treasure.

Later, after McGow and Markham have been taken by the police, men dig up the treasure, but it turns out to be paper money that is now worthless.
