The Blackball Murder, Aug.29,1954

This is another episode synopsis based on a script and not the actual recording.

Miles Anders is the secretary/treasurer of the Bay Yacht Club. Dan Jackson had applied for membership, but was blackballed. Maud Harper is a 25-year-old member.

Jackson arrives, angry at Anders. He wants to know who exactly blackballed him from membership. Jackson's wife is dead; he thinks it is because of the pressure from when he was blackballed. He threatens to destroy all of those who blackballed him.

Jackson chokes Anders and pushes him into the water.

Margo and Lamont arrive at the club for dinner. Anders had invited them there, and he is ok. He tells them that two people blackballed Jackson, a Commodore Wilson and Maud Harper. Maud arrives and says she saw Wilson hanging from a boat's mainsail.

Anders doesn't like Maud.

Margo and Lamont go to Jackson's home. Lamont says he wants to hear Jackson's side of the story, and Jackson denies killing Wilson. Lamont and Margo go to Jackson's boat after he gives them the slip. Someone hits Lamont as he gets on the boat, and Margo finds some black marbles there.

They they go to Ander's boat. Anders is talking to Jackson, who he had called to come to the boat. Anders admits he had misappropriated club funds and that Wilson found out. Anders also admits killing Wilson. He drugs Jackson, but before he can do anything else the Shadow begins talking. During that talk Anders trips on a black marble and breaks his leg. The police arrive and take over.
