Murder in the Sun, Aug. 1, 1954

This is a synopsis of a radio script. It's a science-fiction type of story.

Boris Orloff is a scientist at the Solar Institute. Bob Warner is his young assistant. Then there's also Dr. Hadley, Max Reber, the superintendent of an apartment building, and Sonya Orloff, a niece of the scientist.

Boris does not like Bob having anything to do with Sonya. The professor has been killing pigeons with his solar gun. He fires Bob, and Bob threatens to go to the police about the weapon. Bob later calls Lamont and tells him that Boris is working on a solar gun. While talking to Lamont, Bob is shot using that weapon.

Lamont later talks to Dr. Hadley who tells him Bob is in the hospital. Lamont finds that all of Bob's notes about the device are missing. Margo and Lamont go to the lab and there they meet Sonya who tells that that she and Bob are engaged.

Orloff talks to Margo and Lamont reluctantly. Sonya leaves and says she is not ever coming back, and shortly thereafter Margo and Lamont leave.

Reber calls Orloff and says he saw him sneaking out of the lab and saw him take the missing notes. Lamont talks to Margo on the phone and sees Reber at Orloff's and goes to see them as the Shadow.

Orloff uses the ray on Reber and tries to use it on the Shadow but fails.

Later, the professor has been taken to the police, Reber is in the hospital, and Bob is ok. It turns out the weapon was not totally finished and not as powerful as initially thought.
