The Shadow Serial, part 2: The Shadow Attacks
The Shadow has survived the explosion.
A policeman spots the Shadow and shoots at him. The Shadow runs and gets into his car and a chase starts.
The police enter the place and Lamont has just enough time to change into his Lin Chang disguise.
Lin Chang returns to where he was earlier and Harry ties him up. He wants to look like he was overpowered also, in order to stop crooks from becoming suspicious of him.
Lin Chang tells them that it was the Shadow who overpowered him.
He follows the crooks to their hideout.
Lamont overpowers a crook and plans to take his place in some meeting.
The Black Tiger speaks and notes they are going to go after Lamont.
Lamont has to escape from the crooks when his ruse is discovered.
The guys walk into the lab and Margo turns over a bunch of beakers of stuff.
Lamont and Harry come in and manage to drive the crooks away.
Some guy who seems to be rich.
The machine has a message from the Black Tiger. The machine is an old dictophone, using a cylinder to record a message. The guy's butler is working for the Black Tiger.
The guy calls Lamont.
Harry has gotten some information about the “nitro-bulbs”.
The place that is due to be attacked.
The truck is full of gasoline. They plan to drive it into a certain building.
A crook sets fire to a tarp covered with gasoline. The Shadow fights the driver, trying to steer the truck away from a building containing explosives. (Why would a phone company need explosives?)
The truck explodes, bringing us to ans2 cliffhanger ending.
