Shadow serial part 9: Devil in White
Somehow the Shadow recovers in time (he must have a very hard head). The crooks flee, and the Shadow follows. (How many episodes end with him being knocked over the head? Almost all so far, I think).
The rich guy and Lamont argue, the rich guy saying he thinks Weston might be on the take. Lamont tells him the guy could be the Black Tiger himself.
The Black Tiger is made at the henchmen.
The crooks are following Lamont and the banker. The Black Tiger told his men to take both of them captive.
They sideswipe Lamont's car, causing it to crash.
The crooks take Harry and the banker, but leave Lamont in the car since it is on fire and they think he'll be killed.
The car explodes soon after he leaves it.
Lamont gets into the sanitarium where Harry has been taken, posing as a repairman.
Lamont finds out what room Harry and the banker are being kept in. Margo poses as a nurse trying to get a job at the place.
One of the crooks sees Margo and warns the corrupt head of the sanitarium.
They spy on Margo in the room.
The guy talks to the Black Tiger.
The Shadow is approaching from outside. Meanwhile, Harry, the banker and Margo are being taken to a “special room.”
All three are secured.
He has a device that shoots a ray that burns a hole in the wall, like the laser used on James Bond in Goldfinger. He plans to use that to kill all three of the prisoners.
The Shadow gets into a fight with the crooks. He defeats them and then heads to rescue Margo and the others, but the door is locked.
The preview for the next weeks' episode is shown. It does reveal a problem with the series; too many of the episodes end exactly the same way. A room is blown up, causing a collapse of the roof and lots of debris rains down, trapping the Shadow underneath. In whatever episode that follows, though, the Shadow digs his way out and escapes with no damage done.
I think too many times, also, he also chooses to get into a fight with a group of crooks rather than drawing his gun (he really should be carrying two or four) and dealing with the crooks that way, like putting them into a room and locking them in.
