Shadow Strikes 27

The Shadow meets with Mao Tse-Tung. Shiwan has Margo captive and threatens to kill her. He also has his own Army and his plans for taking over China, but Mao has something to say about that as well as the Japanese who were invading China.

This is the type of story that fits today's world, for behind Shiwan Khan and all the chaos in China was a group of greedy western industrialists who wanted to get control of the oil and had no concern at all for whoever would be hurt, or even die, just so they could line their pockets with more money. It's stories like these that remind me of how the original Star Trek tried to tackle some of society's problems through the use of intelligent fiction.
