The Shadow Strikes 31

The Shadow admits that the Czarina gave him the girasol instead of giving it to Rasputin. Both act like they want to join the rich guys who are doing a smuggling operation. Lamont, though, is sort of a nasty person and doesn't seem to care for Allard very much.

Allard straightens out Cranston, but not before a woman Cranston liked was murdered by people who want to kill him. There is some question raised about whether Allard is the real Kent Allard or not. In any case, this Allard gets the concession from Cranston to pretend to be him, and then he kills the men who were involved in the smuggling plot.

Cardona finishes reading the story and decides no longer to try and thwart the Shadow.

So ends this series of Shadow comics.
