A play is to be given but the feds close the theater down since the play is considered to be communistic in nature. The guy later plants to do a radio program series about the Shadow, making up as much as he wants to. The sponsor is Greene Coal, which is an inside joke since one of the main sponsors of the real Shadow radio program was Blue Coal. It turns up that the performer and the real Shadow have to team up to stop some crooks.
