The Tao Te Ching 101

I have twenty different versions of the Tao Te Ching and I consider this to be two things: the only way that is written in an up-to-date manner, and also one of the best if not the best understandable translation of all of the versions.

The author has some own things that he says that are significant including 'God is a benevolent intelligence underlying all that is, but that is beyond all that is, and beyond our comprehension completely, that simply runs things in a certain way.'

He notes that God is not a jealous god that judges, punishes us or rewards us.' He notes that the Tao is a way of life, not some kind of divine being that we have to follow.

The Tao cannot be defined in any specific way. IT is all that is in every way imaginable and actually beyond what we can even imagine. IT is a way of life that, I think, is a pattern of behavior and thought that is in tune with IT.

Anyhow, there are 81 chapters and I really love the way the material in them is updated without, in my opinion, losing any of the original feeling. If you are at all interested in the Way, the Tao Te Ching, then this book is an absolute must for your reading and your collection.
