Star Trek Discovery: Die Standing
If you like the character mirror universe Georgiou then this book is an absolute must for you. It covers the time from her being brought into this universe through the time she was in Unit 31 up to some time before she was on the Discovery when it went into the future.
The author has her character pinned down perfectly. You can see her arrogance and self-assurance along with her plans to achieve her ultimate goal of becoming the Discovery's universe Emperor.
Emony Dax is one of the characters and is very probably a distant relative (sort of) to the Dax characters of Deep Space 9. Leland is also a major character, this being before he went all Borg-wannabe. James Kirk is mentioned as being on a starship that is attacked by the evil thing.
The evil thing is a cloud that kills people (sort of like the one ST:TOS episode with the giant amoeba.) There's also some new alien species and some interstellar traders. You've also got an attack by a section 31 ship on a spaceport.
There's is a ton of stuff going on this, excellent characters and a solid story. If you like Star Trek Discovery then you really need to get this book.
