C: Sometime in the future.
R: How about space battles?
C: Nope. None of those.
R: Klingons? Romulans? Borg? Ferengi?
C: Nope, nope, nope and nope.
R: What's their spaceship doing, then?
C: Actually, they spend almost all their time on a planet.
R: So, it's not actually Star Trek Discovery?
C: Well, two of the characters do play major roles.
R: Georgiou and Lorca then. Are they both captains?
C: Nope.
R: Okay. Who are they fighting, then?
C: Kodos.
R: The same Kodos from Conscience of the King and The Autobiography of James T. Kirk?
C: Yes, indeed. One and the same.
R: So what do they actually do in the book?
C: Chase Kodos and his minions.
R: But we know he escapes no matter what they do.
C: Yep.
R: Sounds boring.
