Star Trek: Discovery: Dead Endless
The book confused me for a while until I realized just what was going on. Cool approach for the story.
Anyhow, there's a problem in the mycelial network. The Discovery is in trouble, her spores gone and thus her ability to use the spore drive is gone. A very interesting character, a tardigrade, is able to talk to something that is in the network. The characters learn that one single decision by one single person can change everything that happens afterwards, resulting in one case in peace and in one case in a deadly war.
I can't say much more than that because it would give the basic plot away. I'll just say I really liked the story.
