Out of Control

Sweet Valley High number 35.

Aaron is the co-captain of Sweet Valley High's football team and he is an incredible player. The problem at the moment, though, is that he has developed an incredibly bad anger and is not hesitant at all to take it out on someone else.

Jeffrey Finch, Elizabeth's boyfriend, is a good friend of Aaron and tries to help him with his problem but to no avail.

It turns out his parents are getting a divorce because his mother cheated on his father which, obviously, is going to cause problems for Aaron.

The other them is Jessica's attempt to become a seller of Tofu-glo, some kind of new, wonder cosmetic. She gets the kit and goes selling it door-to-door.

Then she runs inta major problem (which is to be expected.)

Aaron's behavior gets worse and it seems as if he's going to be thrown off the football team before the big game against Mesa.

So it's up to Elizabeth and Jeffrey to try to help calm Aaron down and, as usual in these earlier novels, things do work out for everyone.

It's also interesting to note that as I'm reading some of these I notice they are not fluff. This one deals with a very major problem with children having to deal with parents undergoing a divorce and all the changes in the life that brings. There are also some children that will blame themselves for what is happening even though it might not be there fault at all.

It also shows the importance of having someone help and, if necessary, having that person to and get professional help.

These books are not just fluff.
