Sweet Valley Twins Super Edition The Year Without Christmas

Basically the book shows just how selfish and manipulative Jessica can be and how long it takes her to do the right thing. Even then, though, it's pretty obvious that she does that just to stop something bad from happening rather than truly feeling bad for things she did.

There's going to be a Secret Santa game for the twins and their friends with a limit of $10 for their gift. Names are drawn from a hat which means the kids will need to do a little thinking to figure out what the person they picked would actually like.

One confusing thing is how it starts off with Aaron being Jessica's sort-of-boyfriend but the rest of the book deals with her attraction to some other guy. Then there's the quote 'Jessica lived for breaking rules' which is a pretty negative thing to say.

Then there's a Christmas party planned and Jessica has her own over-blown ideas on what to do but the others involved have more practical things in mind and choose that way making Jessica rather angry.

Then there's the whole thing about what Jessica does with the money meant to be used for her Secret Santa gift and shows how self-centered she can be.

The result: the party day repeats and repeats and Jessica keeps trying to figure out what to do to stop it. Some of the things she actually does are rather nasty and again show her bad side.

Even the ending is, basically, one is which the reader ends up really doubting whether or not Jessica has actually learned anything from what she did. If you don't really like Jessica very much this is a good book which shows her near to her worst.
