Gracefully Grayson
Fiction about a boy named Grayson in the sixth grade who is transgendered. He has a younger brother and an older brother, the younger being Brett and the younger Jack. He lives with his aunt and uncle.
He likes to wear female attire. His main problems are with his aunt who is over-protective of him and Ryan, who is the typical school bully. The main theme is a play that Grayson wants to try out for but he is going for the female lead. This causes loads of problems, especially for his teacher. Grayson's aunt gets really angry with the teacher for 'letting' Grayson appear in public in female attire. As is expected the school administration is quite lax in its defense of the teacher.
The bullying gets violent and his aunt gets even angrier.
This is sort of a mild tg approach in a fiction book. Grayson is not obsessed with being a girl, as in most of the tg books I have read. Still, it's a pretty good book.
