Blue-haired Alien Girlfriend

The story opens with a girl named Lisa watching a training tape at a fast-food joint called Fish Burgers. Joshua is the second manager of the place and generally avoids people. One afternoon he is walking along and sees a girl with blue hair and starts talking to her.

It turns out she is from another planet and is wearing a device that supposedly makes her invisible, but somehow he still sees her. They talk and get on very well, but she tells him that visiting the Earth is illegal and soon her people will track her down and take her back for re-education.

The ending is not happy and is another of the books I've read lately where things don't work out well for the main character.
