Brie's father is overseas teaching. Troy comes over for dinner. He is telling her about jumping and about the rules Mr. Warren has established. They plan to do a test jump the next night.

Something goes wrong as some woman orders the fountain shut down.Claire goes missing. Brie goes through a portal to somewhere she doesn't recognize and a short time later Mr. Warren comes through the same portal.

Brie and Mr. Warren talk some then hear some gunshots. Soon Brie gets to meet a woman named Margaret and a dog that seems to have been shot. Brie decides to take the dog home and she's told that Hobbitville will be closed a week for repairs to the fountain.
