This is a very unusual set of cards. First, they came in a blister-pack arrangement. There are 100 cards in the set, and the front of each card shows either an illustration or an actual photo from the war, while the back of the cards has information or quotes about the war.

The thing is that, for some reason, the cards only deal with the start of the war through Sept. 1, 1862 and the Second Battle of Bull Run. The set as it is is good, but I saw no indication that there were any follow-up sets to cover the rest of the war. Also, I think the set should have had a series of cards about the major leaders on both sides like Lee and Grant.

Still, it's good for what it covers.
