Felicity Saves the Day

Felicity is on her Grandfather's plantation and enjoying herself when she finds out that Ben, her father's apprentice, has run off and wants to join the militia that is forming that will make up George Washington's army. Felicity promises not to tell anyone about Ben and helps tend to a bad cut he got. The situation gets much worse when two men come to the house and say they are looking for him and, if they find him, they will rough him up.

On the good side of things her Grandfather ends up buying the horse Penny and Felicity is basically the only person that the horse is friendly to and will allow her to ride it. She races to save Ben from the two guys since he is heading exactly to the same place they are going.

Then it's up to her to convince Ben to return, apologize to her father and he agrees.

It's another interesting story with the background of the coming Revolutionary War playing a bigger and bigger part in what is happening.
