Mistress Bought and Paid For

This is a Harlequin romance manga.

Andreotti is a billionaire who everyone things has the world in the palm of his hand, but he longs for Lia, a super-model, than ran off with another man.

The model's real name is Lydia, and she and her mother are accused of stealing money from a fashion show. Her mother is a nasty (fill in the blank) and hates her daughter and only wanted the money her daughter made from modeling.

Both her father and her brother drowned while on a boat trip. He offers to give Lydia the money she needs if she will become his mistress. Also, from Lydia's point-of-view, it was Andreotti who dumped her, not the other way around.

Anyhow, she accepts to offer in order to prevent her nasty mother from going to jail (which she really should because that's where she belongs.)

Andreotti is not being nice about this at all, though; he's actually physically rough with her. She is to become his property.

It's an interesting book.
