Changes for Samantha

Samantha has missed Nellie and then receives bad news, that Nellie's parents have died. This sets Samantha on a hunt to find them and she finally does, but they're in an orphanage which is run by an extremely mean woman.

Samantha comes up with the idea that Nellie and her two sisters should run away from the orphanage and come stay with Samantha, at least until Nellie can find some kind of job to do to support herself and her two sisters. Of course, keeping three girls hidden in a house while supplying them with food and other things turns out to be much harder than Samantha expected.

To make things worse the girls are discovered and Samantha doesn't know what's going to happen to them.

A good story and a good look at the conditions that orphans had to live in at the time.
