Saturday, September 21, 2002: My first day! Tom Nook gave me a part-time job to help me begin to work off my debt to him (19,800 Bells loan for my house). Got to know my neighbours. I learned that shaking trees can sometimes cause bags of Bells to fall out. Sometimes, though, BEES! which will swarm and sting you, making one eye swell shut. The residents were universally horrified by my appearance. :-p  I got all well after saving and quitting, then coming back. In the early evening I went to the Harvest Moon Viewing. It was lovely and peaceful. Tortimer, the mayor, gave me a replica of the moon--it's HUGE! K.K. Slider was at the train station after 8pm. He played and sang "K.K. Love Song" for me, then gave me a tape of it. I already had "K.K. Faire", which came as a free gift from Nintendo on my AC memory card (included in the free gift were also two classic Nintendo games). Fang moved to LarkRise from Apple.

Sunday, September 22, 2002: I bought turnips in the morning, but promptly forgot how much I had paid. D'oh! Went to Apple three times today: once to buy a net at Apple's Nook's Cranny (he hadn't been carrying any nets at the LarkRise store yet) and to catch an insect for Tom's niece; once to gather peaches and dragonflies (raining in LarkRise--no insects about)...I also wrote letters to Lucy (Apple resident) and Dizzy (Apple transplant from LarkRise today! eep!); and once because it was after 10pm, it was raining in LarkRise, and I was bored. I went to Apple's Museum and looked around. Carefully looked around Crazy Redd's tent too. Dizzy moved away today (::major pout::), Hank moved away, and Tom moved away--all to Apple. [at this point I thought I was doing something terribly wrong to cause all these people to LEAVE!]  It rained ALL DAY in LarkRise. :-/ Truffles accosted me as I was walking along, carrying a creel full of fish. I *was* on my way to the Museum, to donate a fish or so. Truffles said she was in the mood to SPEND MONEY and offered me 1965 Bells for a catfish I had just caught! Well, I should've said no and taken it to the Museum...but avarice got the better of me and I caved in. BEES again! I didn't think they would swarm and sting on a rainy day! Eep! PAID OFF MY MORTGAGE! Yayayayay! I promptly ran over to Tom Nook's and asked if he would pleeease remodel my house and make it larger. ;-)  Very late at night Robin threw a fit and said she would go insane if I didn't change the town tune, so I did. I came up with something that I think is the beginning of a hymn tune.

Monday, September 23, 2002: It rained ALL DAY for the second day in a row! I   couldn't believe they went ahead and held the Autumn Sports Fair in the rain, but they did. I went to various events they had throughout the day. I participated (as best I could) in the aerobics and foot race; and I watched the ball-toss and tug-of-war. The mayor gave me an Autumn Medal. I fished a LOT this day. My home is larger/remodelled. I bought a couple more blue wardrobes and rearranged furniture. I began paying off my huge debt of 148,000 Bells--eep! Gracie the Fashion Designer was in town today. I polished her car for her; but apparently I did (according to *her*) only a so-so job, so I got an outfit, but NOT one of her originals. I sold the turnips (bought yesterday) to Tom Nook. I have no idea if I made a profit--will keep better records next time. Dozer moved in, right next door to me, jam up against my little grove of cherry trees by my house. Why there, when there is so much EMPTY LAND in LarkRise?!

Tuesday, September 24, 2002: I needed to go to Apple again today--my Tom Nook store was closed for remodelling today! I took cherries to sell @ 500 Bells each. I took along a fishing rod and mailed it to Cat'r in Apple (he hadn't seen one yet at *his* store). I wrote to former LarkRise people and visited various townsfolk. I returned Tom's Pokemon Pikachu that Robin had entrusted to me to deliver to him. I gathered peaches to take back to LarkRise. When I got back to LarkRise, I discovered Robin had moved to Apple. :-(  However Mint moved to town later in the day/evening. :-) I planted two more peaches/peach trees.

Wednesday, September 25, 2002: Tom Nook's reopened today at 7am! as Nook'n'Go. :-) Prettier, cleaner, larger. :-) Cat'r visited LarkRise today. He checked out the Nook'n'Go store, etc. Afterwards Bob moved from Apple to LarkRise. Today I found Gulliver stretched out unconscious on the LarkRise beach. He woke up and told me how he had been washed overboard or something. Anyway, he gave me a memento called the Mouth of Truth. Weird! And shocking (literally!)! I later sold it. In the morning I went to Seafoam Island for the first time. Kapp'n, who ferries one there, is a flirt...but I like him and his sea shanteys too. :-)  I met Yodel, who is the sole inhabitant of my island. I played the fruit "game" (with coconuts only) and got about 70,000 Bells! I brought home Aloha shirts. I sent a red one to Kiki, which she later wore and told me was *just* the right gift! Kiki is a really nice person and my favourite resident of LarkRise. :-)  Planted some (future) coconut trees in LarkRise. In the afternoon I went back to Seafoam Island. I began furnishing my spacious beach house. I now have a nice double bed there and a wardrobe with two more Aloha shirts in it. I tried the fruit game a second time, with cherries (LarkRise's native fruit); but Yodel didn't want or like cherries. :-( Back in LarkRise: caught LOTS of red dragonflies and sold them to Tom Nook. I need an axe, to thin trees. Bob lives near Dozer...and now Dozer has picked up Bob's speech pattern! LOL! Aziz moved in, in the evening. GORGEOUS house, nice person. :-)

Thursday, September 26, 2002: Took some furniture and clothes to Seafoam Island. It was raining there, but not in LarkRise. Mint spoke of leaving LarkRise, wanting to move to another town. :-/  PAID OFF MY LOAN!! I asked Tom Nook to remodel my house yet again, this time adding a basement. Yay! I *need* more room! I had my fortune read by Katrina, who was passing through town. It was mostly normal. I will be very busy for the next few days, she said. Truffles has a passion for catfish! I was carrying one to the Museum (again!) and she wanted to trade for it, but this time I said no way! She said I was no fun. :-p

Friday, September 27, 2002: I have a basement! And the HRA does not look at it, so you can store anything down there. :-) Grizzly moved to town. Very grumpy, but oh well. :-) I really like Aziz! And Kiki is the nicest person in my town. :-) Went to Seafoam Island. If you are carrying any clothes that you want to keep, do NOT talk to your islander! S/he will demand an outfit for *free*! Found an exotic end table at Nook'n'Go this morning for Yodel, so I took it out to him today. Still raining today on the island. I had my fortune told by Katrina again--so ordinary I forgot what it was. I think it was "some good, some bad will happen". However I made the mistake of having my fortune told again later in the afternoon. She said I would have to be careful and watch my step. Sure enough, EVERY time I ran, I fell down! I wonder how long this will last?? She wouldn't give me a new reading... :-(  I went around shaking trees for money. I got stung by bees; but if you've been stung once, it doesn't get any worse if you're stung again. :-p Rearranged my furniture according to Feng Shui, hoping for better luck! Went to Seafoam Island after midnight: it was raining in LarkRise, but not on the island. Not much happening--Yodel was asleep. BTW, Dozer and Grizzly have picked up Bob's little speech pattern thing! And all three "grumpy old men" live close to each other!

Saturday, September 28, 2002: Took a load of cherries over to Harmony and sold them for 500 Bells each. Picked three oranges to bring back to LarkRise, to plant. Raining in LarkRise, not in Harmony. Met inhabitants of Harmony. When I got back, I found Aziz had moved to Harmony. :-/ ::sniff:: I'm not clumsy today. Bad luck wore off at 12 midnight, I think. In the evening I got a  song from K.K. Slider: "K.K. Lullaby"--beautiful! Fishing etc. Paid off the loan for my basement! Asked Tom Nook for a remodel/expansion of my first floor. :-) Aarrgh, dropped the controller and broke it, so I wasn't able to guide my character back to my gyroid, to save my game. So when I restarted my game, I met Mr. Resetti outside my front door. He's pretty fierce, but he let me off with a warning this time. ::phew!:: Nosegay moved to LarkRise today. Nice person, sorta like Kiki. :-)

Sunday, September 29, 2002: My house is bigger! I found a lovely regal sofa at the dump, so sold my blue modern sofa to Tom Nook. A few days ago Kiki sent/gave me a beautiful blue vase; and today Nosegay sent me a pretty blue cube clock. Everyone must be stopping by my house while I'm out and checking out my colour scheme! Cleared trees in Acre D-5, behind Nosegay's house, and planted an orchard of orange and peach trees. Cleared trees east of the train station and planted *many* cherry trees and one pear tree. I plan to plant a coconut grove soon. :-) Sarah visited LarkRise to pick up a net I left for her with my gyroid. She also mailed me a leaf umbrella she brought over for me and sold some oranges at Tom Nook's. I bought turnips from Joan this morning: 10 @ 101 Bells (1,010 Bells investment). I hope I can turn a profit this week. Ordered another blue wardrobe and a second blue cabinet--I have SO MANY clothes, but I don't want to part with them. Plus I collect parasols and umbrellas. :-)  In the afternoon I took a trip to Seafoam Island to do the fruit money-making scheme and bring back coconuts to plant in LarkRise. I also took some clothes to Yodel. Cleared the area back of the Museum and planted coconuts there. Hope they all grow!! Fishing; catching insects; beginning to pay back the HUGE loan for my first-floor expansion; rearranging furniture in the house. Goose (a chicken) moved to LarkRise. :-) It's good to have LOTS of room in the basement when you forget Tom Nook's isn't open late at night and you catch a mess o' fish!

My basement, full o' fish!

Walking around late at night: people kept getting frightened, thinking I was a ghost!

My house as of now

Monday, September 30, 2002: Tom Nook is not buying or selling ANYthing today, only holding his monthly lottery thing. So my basement is *still* filled with fish tanks, etc.! I had four chances at the lottery and won the exotic lamp on the first try. I wonder if wearing my fortune shirt helped. :-p  No turnip sales today either, BTW. I went to Apple, mistakenly, meaning to return something to Aziz (who lives in *Harmony* now, not Apple) from Grizzly. On the way there I met Blanca on the train and had to draw a FACE for her! In Apple I talked to townsfolk and picked peaches to bring home. On my return I found Truffles had moved to Apple. Then I set off for Harmony. I sent Aziz a rugby shirt, one that I had bought for him before he had left LarkRise, but hadn't had a chance to send to him. I returned his book (my "quest" from Grizzly) and also talked with various inhabitants. After I got home, I learned Grizzly had moved to Harmony. Why hadn't he just taken the book to Aziz himself instead of sending *me*?! In the evening I went to Crazy Redd's black market tent. He had a clock that was way overpriced and can be bought at normal prices at Tom Nook's. He also had two paintings, which seemed too high-priced to me, so I ended up buying nothing. Twiggy moved to LarkRise in the evening. I took some furniture over to Seafoam Island later in the evening.
