CountryMouse's Diary

Part 108

Rainbow swirly bar

Thursday, June 19, 2014, 3:12pm: Yes, back again, finally! As always, here are the places you can find me most often:

CountryMouse's Refuge

AND I've gone back to:

and don't forget:

YouTube - Please visit CountryMouse's Music Channel

Why I've gone back to LiveJournal: I found a community there I wanted to be a part of, got all nostalgic for LJ, and decided to unlock my entries there and start using it again. So now I'm mirroring my posts at CountryMouse's Refuge (InsaneJournal) and at CountryMouse's LiveJournal. I am NOT going to try to copy over 6-1/2 years' worth of posts at CM's Refuge to my LiveJournal, though. It was enough work just unlocking all 7 years' of entries there! Whew!

So come see me in at least one of those places! I just don't remember to post here much any more. I'm on Twitter the most; but at the moment I am on a let's-retweet-all-the-cute-animal-photos-we-can-find kick. So for actual information, go to CM's Refuge and/or CM's LiveJournal. Hope to see you there!

Tuesday, December 9, 2014, 9:49am: Just noticing where I am hanging out most at the moment so you can find me: Twitter. I am there almost every day. Often I just RT (retweet) neat stuff I enjoy, but I'm there. I do try to check Facebook fairly often. And I'm enjoying taking photos this time of year--I've posted quite a few new ones over on Flickr! Please check them out!

Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 5:03pm:  I added another link for you to follow. I am ctrymaus22 on Instagram. I have been posting a LOT there, mostly because I've gotten into "adult colouring". So I've been posting lots of photos of things I've completed. They are also shipped over to my Flickr account. Soooo...where I am most nowadays:

Victory: Marriage Equality Comes To America

As of Friday, June 26, 2015, same-sex marriage is now legal nationwide. In a landmark 5-4 ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges, the US Supreme Court ruled that marriage discrimination is unconstitutional. #LoveWins

Monday, July 6, 2015, 3:20am: (crossposted from my FB, about to be posted in CountryMouse's Refuge and CountryMouse's LiveJournal) Trying to decide where is the best place to post, where things will be the most permanent...as permanent as anything can be online. Cat'r says he'll keep B.'s and my web pages up forever (as long as *he* can)--and that's where my CountryMouse's Diary is. Then I have a permanent account at InsaneJournal. LiveJournal has a thing that if a loved one lets them know you've passed on, they lock your blog up and keep it forever. Twitter is totally ephemeral, and I'm wasting way too much time there. No one goes *back* to see what you've said. And there's here [Facebook], but it's not bloggy. So I'm thinking of spending more time on my own website again soon. Oh yeah, and I have to check on the permanence of YouTube, Flickr, and Instagram.

1:02pm: So I guess I'm coming home. Don't expect me to do any serious updating to the design of the pages and/or site...at least not for now. First, I don't feel I have the time; second, it's home. I want it comfy.

Here is what Cat'r and I did on Tuesday, June 30th! We went to a Morrissey ::swoon!:: concert at the Aronoff Center in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  It was loud, lots of lights, everyone standing up the entire time so that it was hard for mice to see (even though we had excellent orchestra seats); but Morrissey was in top form, his voice beautiful and perfect, he seemed pretty energetic (i.e. healthy--we always worry about him, he's had so many bad health scares). I guess my favourite part, aside from the music, is watching him interact with the audience, touching hands, allowing "huggers" on the stage (although this time only one got through--the security was really tight this time). You keep thinking, "Look my way, see me!" ::swoon!:: My hearing was pretty much shot by the end of the show. Everyone sounded like they had been breathing helium! LOL! I guess the low end of my hearing was gone for a while. It was funny! The merchandise table was jammed afterwards, but we were able to get some cool swag. It was a wonderful evening! Tuesday, July 7, 2015, 5:28pm: I did it! I started a new little Tamagotchi! This is a TamagotchiKilljoys Friends. Here is Amity's page. Have to dash, but just wanted to get this up!

10:51pm: Amity went to sleep at 7pm. I thought it was another nap, but she's out for the night. Maybe it's a good thing she went to sleep so early. Otherwise she might've been upset by the somewhat violent TV show we watched called "Killjoys", a really fast-paced space opera. Some have said this is the show they've been waiting for since the end of "Firefly". Me, I'm just happy to see Aaron Ashmore again, after "Warehouse 13" ended.

BTW, I am not going to be adding a lot of links to external sources anymore, as eventually they'll be broken. So if I talk about someone or something that sounds interesting, please just google and find out more.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 1:56pm: Amity seems to be coming along pretty well, other than the fact that she's still 0 years old. That's because I paused her last night. I didn't want her to wake me too early. Tonight, instead, I'll just turn her sound off. This morning we went to the park, we played games (I'm terrible at the driving game, so have given that up), I bought her a ring, and I bought her a variety of foods. As expected, steak is EXPENSIVE, so I didn't get that for her. Here are a couple photos:  (click on the pictures to see them MUCH larger!)

Oh one other thing. I finally realized what has happened here at The Mouse House. It always felt like my home on the Web; but for the past few years, I've been an absentee landlord/owner! So I'm back, but it's going to take a lot of time and work to get it back to how it should be, at least workable. It's going to stay pretty old school, but I hope to get links fixed, etc.!

Thursday, July 9, 2015, 1:09pm: Late yesterday afternoon Amity got to watch an episode of Infinity Challenge"Infinity Challenge", a really fun Korean game/variety show, which we are addicted to. Here is a picture from one of their recent episodes. I love these guys! (click on the picture to see it larger) Can you believe? They (and other people added on eventually) had to PULL this huge airplane! If they succeeded, they got to go on a reward vacation (which turned out more complicated than they anticipated! I won't spoil it in case you want to start watching the series--which you MUST! Check out DramaFever).

As to Amity, I had her sound set to OFF so she wouldn't wake me up too early this morning. I don't know what time she actually *did* wake up; but when I checked on her at 8:45am, she had already evolved into her teenage form of a Neotchi! So cute! I'm going to try to take her to Dream Town in a little while, following the instructions of a very nice person on the Tamagotchi Ancestors T-A Facebook group.

5:30pm: I was able to go to Dream Town and get some things for Amity at the Fortune Teller's: mega pizza, tempura, a muffin. Amity is taking a shower right now. Too cute!

Japanese-style bath: washing, then soaking in a tub

Feeling very very sad. I can't believe I sold and gave away almost all of my virtual pets and accessories. B. always told me not to get rid of things, that I would be sorry. I didn't listen to him...and he was right. :-(

Friday, July 10, 2015, 2:15pm: Amity has evolved into her adult form: she's a Coffretchi. She's a makeup artist! I know she's only 2 years old, but I do need to think about her future. I'll ask around as to whether Mrs. Busybody, the matchmaker, will be coming around; or whether there is somewhere she needs to go to meet someone at some point.

Monday, July 13, 2015, 11am:  Bizzy bizzy. Sorry I haven't updated Amity's stats. She seems happy, going to play games, eating lots of different kinds of foods. I even won a tiara for her at the fortune teller's in Dream Town! But right now I forgot and left her downstairs while I am attending to things upstairs (where my desktop PC is). Getting ready for storms coming, charging everything that *can* be charged. So I'll update her page later today or whenever I can get back on here. DO.NOT.LIKE.SCARY.WEATHER.

7:03pm: We made it through this first round of storms. (that was around 2pm). We might get more storms this evening/tonight.

B. and Cat'r were on their way back from an appointment and had to pull off the expressway because of the intense rain. So of course they stopped at Toys R Us. ::grin:: B. got lots of new Monster High stuff s/he didn't have (as a consolation for the doctor's visit); and s/he got me a lot of Tamagotchi Friends stuff that was on clearance! I now have a lot of cute Tamagotchi Friends figures, a stage for Yumemitchi, and another Tamagotchi Friends egg: this one is purple with a jewelry design on it--so pretty! S/he also got a Tam Friends for hirself. Yay! We can both play now!

Tuesday, July 14, 2015, 3:17pm: Marriage time! Amity met a Righttchi at the Dating Place around noontime today,  married him straight away, and they had a little Aokumotchi (click on the picture at right to see it larger). Then the parents went off on an extended/forever honeymoon, leaving their baby with *me*. Sir Poop-A-Lot (affectionately known as Poopy) evolved into a Turtletchi in the afternoon. He gets his name from...well,  pooping a LOT.

More storms, gotta log off! Happy All-Star Game Day, which is being held HERE, in Cincinnati, Ohio!!!
