The Dark Crystal Figurines

There's some neat stuff being put out relating to The Dark Crystal. The figurines are well done and the Funko Pop figures are good, too. The main problem is the prices. Whereas the Jen and Kira small figurines can be bought for maybe $25 or less, the Aughra and Skeksis ones are much higher priced.

The Garthim figure goes for around $40 on ebay and Amazon. I found one at Toys 'R Us, though, and it was half the price. The only thing I can figure is that some people buy every single figurine they can the moment they come out and then jack up the prices and put them up on ebay and Amazon.

I don't think paying $50 or more for a figurine that is less than 4 inches tall is understandable. I can understand the older figures, put out some years ago, commanding a high price but brand new stuff shouldn't be that expensive.

Anyhow, below are the ones I was able to get/afford. There are also videos on You Tube about people unboxing the figurines they have gotten.

The last one is a real dinosaur that was worked with so that it's actual skin and features could be seen. Note how it almost looks exactly like a Skeksis.
